The Security Awareness Special Interest Group (SASIG) was established in 2004 by The Security Company (International) Limited.
The Group meets regularly to network and discuss the challenges of raising employee security awareness. We currently have a wide range of members representing organisations from across the world and sectors.
There is no charge for attending SASIG events. Membership is open to all individuals who have a responsibility for security awareness within their organisations.
Why was the SASIG formed?
A security-aware workforce is increasingly acknowledged as an integral part of developing robust security within any organisation. Yet until recently, this subject has attracted little discussion.
The SASIG is a recognition that there is a wealth of knowledge and experience to share across organisations on how to effectively raise awareness of security best practice.
The Benefits of Membership
Meetings are whole-day events, hosted by Reuters at their prestigious offices in Canary Wharf, London. Our members use these events to:
- listen to guest speakers address a range of security topics
- see presentations and case studies from member organisations
- take part in specialist workshops run by leading industry figures
- listen and contribute to open forum discussions and Q & A sessions
- network with individuals from other organisations
- contribute to the agenda of future events
In addition, this website provides an online, collaborative workspace for members to download materials from the events and other useful documentation.
Membership Restrictions
Due to the nature of the Group, membership is not open to individual contractors or suppliers of security services.
