Cyber risk culture is a novel and multi-faceted concept. It can be viewed as a subculture or subset of cybersecurity culture, and an organisation’s shared norms, beliefs, knowledge, values, attitudes, and behaviours relating to cyber risks. Understanding how cyber risk culture can be embedded is important for securing organisations across all sectors and industries.
In 2024, the UK Government commissioned new research to define what good and bad cyber risk cultures look like. The research team interviewed senior risk and information security decision-makers and practitioners across industry, government, and the third sector.
This webinar provided a summary of the key research findings and recommendations, including an overview of the barriers, enablers, and best practices regarding cyber risk management and techniques for embedding cyber risk culture in organisations.
