In this introductory session, seasoned PR experts Woburn Partners share their experience and wisdom about how to win the media war against cyber attackers.
They discuss the golden rules of crisis management, how to respond to a cybersecurity incident, who to trust, when to go public, and what you can do today to tame a crisis in the future.
They will be joined by a representative of a major UK company who they recently supported through a cybersecurity incident for a case study.
Woburn Partners, founded by James Robinson in 2018, helps its clients engage constructively with the media for more effective communication. Woburn Partners has extensive experience in crisis communications, with a particular specialism in cybersecurity incidents.
James advises on media strategy, crisis management and internal communications. He was director of communications for Tom Watson, deputy leader of the UK Labour Party and had a career as a newspaper business journalist and media editor.
Heather Vernon is a trusted strategic communications advisor. As a political advisor to the Labour Party, she delivered successful campaigns, media relations and crisis management. She has also worked at senior levels in UK and international charities.
