Gateway is SASIG’s networking group for junior cybersecurity professionals, those looking to start a career in cyber, and movers from other industries. We held our first Skills Festival in May – a one-day conference and jobs fair. The event went fantastically, though there was one topic we clearly need to address further – what are the different job roles in cyber?

Are you interested in a career in cyber but don’t know where to start? Cybersecurity is a vast multidisciplinary sector, requiring skills from the deeply technical to the deeply personal. Looking for a job in cybersecurity can be confusing, even for seasoned professionals, especially when there are a dozen different roles all titled ‘Security Analyst’.

In this session, the SASIG Gateway leadership team de-mystify the various roles in cyber and the skillset required for each.
