Security initiatives are often considered in isolation. And security teams frequently lack the bandwidth to truly influence individual, team and functional behaviour. How line managers influence team behaviours is often overlooked, as is observation and research into the true company culture; the good, the bad, and the downright toxic!

Psychological safety is defined as ‘a belief that one will not be punished or humiliated for speaking up with ideas, questions, concerns, or mistakes’.

Have you ever considered how your organisation’s ability to create and maintain a psychologically safe environment can impact your security initiatives?

Inspired by ‘The Fearless Organisation’ by Amy C. Edmonson, we discuss key research that can help Cyber, Protective Security and HR teams take forward a more thorough and collaborative approach.
