Before the Covid-19 pandemic, SASIG regularly travelled around the UK to bring its meetings to the regions, and at last, we are able to hit the road again. We recognise that many of our members have neither the budget nor the time (nor, frankly, the inclination) to always travel to the London metropolis.

So, we are indebted to the Business Cyber Centre, whose generosity has allowed us to arrange our first conference event outside London in over two years. We are always delighted at the way that the size and seniority of our regional audiences increase each time, and we are confident that this trend will continue.

The day will begin with refreshments, networking and a welcome from Martin Smith MBE, Chairman and Founder of The SASIG, and Andrew Gudgeon OBE, Head of Enterprise Risk Management and Operational Risk (UKI) at Zurich Insurance.

Over the course of the day, we will discuss crisis communications and PR after an incident, closing the skills gap, and how to hire a hitman on the dark web, amongst other topics.

Our gracious hosts will also give us an introduction to their centre and the work they do. We will also end the day with a tour of the Business Cyber Centre by the Centre’s Commercial Operations Manager, Tom Marshall, and a networking lunch.

The Business Cyber Centre brings together world-class resources, innovation, and opportunity to deliver an ecosystem dedicated to supporting and enabling safer growth of UK business. Its aim is to empower, innovate, collaborate and educate.

For those unable to join us in person, members can register to join us remotely as we will be live-streaming the presentations and encouraging everyone to participate in the Q&A sessions. Please note, virtual attendance does not include the tour of the centre, networking opportunities or refreshments/lunch.

Places at this event are strictly limited, so please register early to avoid disappointment. We will provide full venue details to those who apply to attend in person when we confirm your place. We will send details for those joining us virtually in the week before the event.

We work hard to make our in-person events Covid-secure – you can find out more here.
