Companies and consumers increasingly rely on applications for so many services. In December 2022, the UK Government published a world-first voluntary Code of Practice for App Store Operators and App Developers which sets out minimum security and privacy requirements so that users are better protected from malicious and poorly developed apps.

This webinar was an overview of why the Code has been published, how DCMS will assess uptake and the steps they will take to create international alignment. They will also shared their latest research and explain how they want to work with the cybersecurity community and academics to create more research into app security and privacy.

This webinar was only available to be viewed live, no recording is available.
