Cyber insurance has emerged and evolved rapidly over the past few years as a way for organisations to protect themselves against the adverse impacts to their reputation, assets and operations caused by cyber-attacks. Yet surveys show that many organisations still have no adequate or effective cover, and that ignorance about the topic is widespread. Those organisations that do carry such insurance are almost certainly under-insured as the cyber threat landscape continues to change, creating gaps in existing products and uncertainty around policy wording.
