The NHS has always been important to the British people. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has made it absolutely critical. This presentation will how data and digital services have become central to the NHS response.
John Noble is a non-executive director at NHS Digital, responsible for overseeing cyber security and information assurance. He will explain the challenges of defending a system of this size and complexity. He will set out what has been done to improve cyber security in the three years since the NHS was caught up in the WannaCry attack. Most importantly, he will detail the work that has been undertaken to try and ensure that those systems and data can be protected through the pandemic. His talk should be of interest to cyber security professionals and anyone interested in the UK’s healthcare system.
