The regulators are powerful public bodies, but they have limited guidance about how they should police cybersecurity, nor do they operate under a common code, written or unwritten. This is thrown into stark relief as cybersecurity becomes increasingly important to all organisations but especially those within regulated industries.

About this event...

At this Workshop, we will consider how regulators should engage on this topic with those they regulate, to ensure consistent and adequate standards of cybersecurity are adopted and maintained.  But as importantly we will examine the powers and the duties of regulators to ensure that their own cyber security measures are effective. This new workstream results from approaches by many SASIG members from both regulators and the regulated, who thought that a meeting might be helpful in determining where we are now and where we want to be.
