Cybersecurity decisions are only as good as the risk thinking behind them. This session explores how to move from vague threat awareness to structured Threat and Risk Analysis (TARA) – identifying who wants to attack you, why, and how, mapping your information assets, and uncovering the vulnerabilities that connect the two.
Drawing on over 25 years’ hands-on experience, Peter walks through practical steps for profiling threat actors, surveying critical assets, and finding real-world weaknesses before an attacker does, illustrated with real examples from the field. Learn how this analysis feeds directly into effective red team exercises, helping you prioritise defences based on genuine risk rather than guesswork and build a repeatable process of testing, learning, and improving.
