Our social purpose is to improve trust in the online environment
SASIG aims to grow our membership and activities in a responsible and accountable manner by harnessing the collective power of the cybersecurity industry to drive lasting change for the better.
Our goals and priorities:
Empowering new talent – Addressing the skills gap within cybersecurity and helping the industry attract new talent through our Skills Festivals and Gateway workstream
Diversity and inclusion – Promoting diversity and embracing inclusion. SASIG membership is open to all, regardless of background, race, disability, sexuality, gender identity, or expression
Mental wellness – Highlighting the importance of mental health for ourselves and our colleagues, normalising open and honest conversations within the demanding IT security environment
Truly UK-wide – Many of our members have neither the budget nor time to travel to the Capital, so we regularly bring our meetings to the regions
Giving back – We give back to our communities through fundraising for charity at our gala dinners and Christmas lunches, as well as activities to raise awareness around online fraud and child safety online
