As cyber threats become more sophisticated, many attacks still succeed through surprisingly simple avenues such as social engineering, service desk manipulation, and process weaknesses. Traditional Security Operations Centres (SOCs) are effective at monitoring technology, but often struggle to understand the business context behind security events, leading to delays, excessive user interaction, alert fatigue, and potentially dangerous blind spots.

This session explores how hyperautomation and AI are transforming the modern managed SOC from a reactive monitoring function into a context-aware extension of the business. By integrating security operations with business processes, identity systems, HR platforms, service management workflows, and user interactions, organisations can dramatically reduce response times while improving accuracy and reducing disruption.

Using real-world examples, we will examine how modern attacks exploit the gaps between technology, people, and processes, and how AI-driven automation can close those gaps. Attendees will gain practical insight into building a more intelligent, scalable, and business-aware security operation.
