At Rolls-Royce, Neil is responsible globally for all aspects of cybersecurity. He is accountable for the controls under the principal risk of cyber threat and as such reports on progress to the main board and executive leadership. His role covers both IT and product cybersecurity, including policy, information assurance, audit, architecture, operations and awareness training for all staff. In addition to the CISO role, Neil also leads the Enterprise Architect and Risk and Compliance teams within the IT function.

He joined Rolls-Royce in 2015 from CERT-UK, the national Computer Emergency Response Team (and pre-cursor to NCSC), where he was Deputy Director of Operations.
