Cybersecurity can be an enabler of growth, a source of competitive advantage, and a driver of economic and social value in a rapidly changing world that makes the UK a technology superpower. The UK’s insurance, legal services, and financial services sectors are world-leading – could cybersecurity be the fourth pillar to stand alongside these markets in making the UK the safest place in the world to do business?

Rt Hon Stephen McPartland MP was recently appointed by the Deputy Prime Minister and the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology as Chair of the Cyber Security and Economic Growth Review. His review seeks to change the narrative on cybersecurity and highlight how it can support productivity, competitiveness, innovation, and leadership on the global stage.

Cybersecurity offers opportunities to encourage career transitions, promote diversity, and empower underrepresented groups into the wider cyber workforce. It will also allow us to take a lead on sustainable Green Cyber.

Stephen joined us in this webinar to share insights and recommendations from his time in Parliament, as well as his recent independent report. Together, we reviewed the report’s recommendations to help the UK become a global cybersecurity technology superpower.

(Please note, this webinar took place only shortly after the General Election, and a formal response had not yet been published.)
