Artificial intelligence is developing at a radical pace, and its integration into business practices has opened a huge opportunity as well as vectors for risk for many organisations.
But the introduction of the European Artificial Intelligence Act (the AI Act) in August will have a knock-on effect in the UK and across the US. This new regulation aims to guardrail AI development through secure practices and regular compliance check-ins.
Although the AI Act focuses on development and deployment of AI in the European market; users far and wide will benefit from the protections put in place.
This webinar explored the requirements of the AI Act, its impact on innovation and security, and the unintended compliance burden it will likely place on small enterprises. We also looked at what AI now means for human security – both in terms of human behaviours (whether malicious and accidental) and the AI-facilitated challenges to users in organisations.
