Bletchley Park
Join your fellow SASIG members for an unforgettable day of collaboration and inspiration, with an interactive team challenge at The National Museum of Computing (TNMoC) at Bletchley Park, home to the world’s largest collection of functional computer history. This networking event brings SASIG members together to connect and engage, while diving deep into the fascinating world of computing history and testing your problem-solving skills in an escape room experience like no other.
The highlight of the day, Escape the 1940s, invites you to step into the shoes of WWII problem-solvers in a thrilling race against time. Teams of five will work together to solve a series of clever puzzles inspired by the groundbreaking computing innovations of the 1940s.
The immersive challenge blends hands-on exploration of the museum with a gripping finale as together, you decipher the clues. Success lies in sharp thinking, seamless teamwork and creative problem-solving – do you have what it takes to escape the analogue age into the modern world?
There are plenty of opportunities to connect and engage with peers: Exploring TNMoC’s unparalleled collection, home to iconic machines like Colossus, the world’s first electronic computer, and the WITCH, the oldest working digital computer. Enjoy lunch with fellow delegates before tackling the escape room, then unwind with drinks and discussion during the reception.
Information about the galleries and what you can see during your visit is available here, and a map of the museum to print and bring with you is available here.
