SASIG’s tabletop exercises have proven to be extremely popular and we are delighted to bring the experience back once more to our members, this time in association with FireEye, one of SASIG’s valued Supporters, at their newly-opened One Angel Court offices in the heart of the City of London.

The FireEye Cyber Attack Simulation exercise is a valuable experience for staff of all organisations from any sector, placing participants into a simulated business environment. Delegates walk through a hypothetical “real-time” cyber-attack scenario and learn what can happen when a company experiences a cybersecurity incident.

In this masterclass of how joined-up thinking is critical to an organisation’s approach, experts will also be on hand to discuss the challenges in responding to a cybersecurity incident and share best practice, establishing a better security understanding amongst all staff of varying roles, levels of management experience and technical knowledge. So please invite any relevant colleagues, peers and communities that you feel might benefit from joining us on the day. Indeed, we have often seen organisations get the best out of these events where the security function accompanies their legal, communications, procurement/supply and other colleagues.

Only through experiencing an attack such as this can staff within an organisation genuinely understand how they will respond. By changing perceptions about cybersecurity, organisations can successfully lower the number of cyber-incidents and reduce associated financial losses, with an impact which lasts well into the longer-term.
