In this session, we examined the cyber components of the current Russian invasion of Ukraine. An expert panel provided an overview of the key threat vectors, including cyber espionage, information operations, and disruptive attacks.

We explored the implications Russian state cyber operations, as well as criminal gangs and other cyber actors, pose for not just Ukraine, but also Western states more broadly. This is a key time to prepare rather than panic, and the session therefore concluded with actionable advice for network defenders on bolstering their defences.
