For most organisations, understanding cyber risk is integral to delivering an effective resilience strategy. Understanding risk appetite and how it impacts an organisation’s operating ability is critical. We might have a plethora of services that provide insights into threats or assess our vulnerability, but how does that assist us in prioritising our finite resources and enhancing and improving our resilience? And how far can we expect cyber risk to help us manage that risk and provide assurance in the event of an incident?
We are delighted to have collaborated with Aviva for this insightful event, where we took a close look at risk, what it is, how to relate it to our business, and how understanding it contributes to our improved resilience. We also discussed how cyber insurance is affected by risk, what it means in terms of coverage and whether the current model of cyber insurance is sustainable.
