Resilience is the current buzzword in cybersecurity, but what does it mean, and how do we achieve it? How do we implement a security policy that has a material impact on our ability to survive a cyber incident? And how do we engender the right culture within our organisations to empower our people as defenders, rather than points of vulnerability?

We were delighted to be collaborating with Unilever on this event, where we considered the influence of an organisation’s culture on resilience. We explored how a proper awareness strategy can make your people more secure online in their private life and bring that best practice to the workplace. We also looked at the current threat picture and what it means to businesses in the North West, and to improve those businesses’ understanding of the support and advice available to them from law enforcement and government to improve their organisational resilience. With contributions from the North West CRC and DSIT and practical advice from our expert speakers, we hope to provide the building blocks for local businesses to make themselves less likely to fall foul of a cyber event.
