When organisations discover cyber incidents, oftentimes they will involve their incident response and crisis management partners. In some cases, law enforcement and government agencies, such as NCSC, as well as cyber insurers will be involved too.
Managing an effective crisis communication strategy has become increasingly complex – there are a plethora of communications channels used by public and private organisations, and mandatory reporting requirements during a cybersecurity breach to consider.
We were joined by a CISO, a Head of Legal, and a Head of Incident Response to discuss their perspectives on the challenges faced by enterprises during a major cyber breach. They discussed the balance between compliance, security, and operations during a cyber incident; and how an efficient communication strategy can minimise disruption for your organisation in a crisis.
