Kindly hosted by CIPD, the professional body for HR and people development, this is the eighth SASIG Human Resources workshop. This popular workstream began in response to demand from our members to focus on the interrelating roles of the security and HR functions in implementing effective security and confronting the Insider Threat. Underpinning these discussions is the basic question – what are the cornerstones for a good (better) relationship between the security and HR functions?
Previous HR SASIG workshops have already provided much food for thought. This next meeting looks set to be another very successful event, continuing where we left off and delving deeper into the issues. We have an exceedingly strong academy of speakers who are kindly offering to share their time, wisdom and experience. In addition to the professional discussions, of course, there is the networking side of every SASIG meeting that is both invaluable and impossible to measure. Where possible we hope that security specialists will come accompanied by their HR colleagues – we found this combination to have worked exceptionally well at the previous HR SASIG workshops. Please note that priority to attend will be given to those who come as a couple.
