Thursday 13th August, 11.00am – 12.15pm (BST)

In this celebration of SASIG’s 100th daily webinar since lockdown, we will consider how and when businesses need to start planning for a return to the workplace. There are still so many unknowns. The world situation changes daily, even hourly, as does the advice.

Organisations must meet three key tests before bringing people back to the workplace: is it essential, is it sufficiently safe, and is it mutually agreed? In this Virtual Roundtable, Peter Cheese, Chief Executive of CIPD will present the CIPD “Returning to the Workplace” planner for employers to assess their readiness to meet these three key tests. Katherine Gibson, Partner at DLA Piper will discuss the HR and data protection conundrums of getting staff back to work. We will then break out into virtual Roundtables where delegates in small groups may discuss their organisations’ specific challenges both practical and emotional. At the end we will regroup, and with an online poll we will establish common estimates of timescales for return.
