In the face of unprecedented change, disruption and uncertainty in the business world, sectors and people can be perceived in a variety of ways. Cybersecurity is pivotal to this current business climate, but if it is to thrive, it needs to change for the better.

(ISC)2 undertook their Perception Study, speaking with 2,500 people across the UK and US, to understand the broader perception of cybersecurity careers, the professionals within it, the wider industry and other aspects. As they discovered, the age-old stereotype of cybersecurity professionals – working in isolated, darkly-lit environments, utilising suspicious hacking skills to root out cyberattacks – may be changing for the better and Chris joins us to explain how.
